Lincoln City, OR

From Bend, OR we were a little nervous as we knew there was another big pass to take in our travels.  It ended up being fairly good roads.  It was not snowing, the road was just hardpacked and there was not very much traffic.  It was a really pretty drive through an old-growth forest.  Probably took about two hours until we were through the mountain.  Half-way through all of a sudden we went over the top and instead many feet of snow – it was green and clear.  Crazy.

We made it to our little cottage/hotel in Lincoln City, OR.  While we were there we spent some time on the beach walking around as well as eating and shopping a little.  Kelli wanted a filter for her camera, so she went to buy one – the guy offered her a deal and when he rang her up – charged her full price.  Poor Kelli was confused and did not know what to do.  Oh well.

It was a very relaxing two nights there.  We were right on a hill overlooking the ocean with a fireplace and wood so we could keep warm.
